swift - Background REST API call in ios with timer -


i want know possible call apis particular time interval if app killed , not in background.

func application(_ application: uiapplication, performfetchwithcompletionhandler completionhandler: @escaping (uibackgroundfetchresult) -> void) {

above code not working timer. fired once.
